Lives We Nurture

Meet aditya
From being unable to sit, stand or walk to taking his first steps, Aditya’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, care and hope.
Five year old Aditya was born a premature twin and suffered from cerebral palsy. He was unable to walk, stand or sit, and has bilateral loss of vision. He was brought to HHSB when he was only two years old. Despite his multiple impairment he was eager to attend school - and to learn. Aditya received sustained medical treatment followed by surgery and intensive ongoing physiotherapy.
With medical assistance from the Children’s Orthopaedic Hospital and his caring family and love from those around, Aditya is now able to take a few steps. We wait for the day when he will discard his crutches and walk independently.

Meet Mukesh
A Boy with a Big Dream & an Even Bigger Spirit
Vishal, Shamu and Mukesh are siblings. Mukesh, who is totally visually impaired, loves to go to school and study so that he can become an engineer and help his father who is a construction worker.
Mukesh developed a brain tumour at the age of two, suffered tremendous pain, violent headaches and repeated convulsions. After several surgeries and prolonged medical treatment, he recovered but sadly lost vision in both eyes. On arriving at the HHSB, he endeared himself to all with his cheerful disposition and friendly nature.
Mukesh is a bright, extroverted and happy student – he is a tap dancer and star of the Movie "SEVEN."
